“Blow minds, not dudes”

Actually you can do both! What a concept! That women can be intelligent as well as sexually active! And we don’t live in the goddamn 18th century and women don’t have to be pure little virgin housewives if they don’t want to! Oh my gosh!

Tumblr: spreading the world apart, one group at a time.

THIS is the shit that bothers me with tumblr

Lol throwback to when I made a comment about how I thought the way tumblr was handling ‘cultural appropriation’ stupidly and complaining for nothing and got hate for it for 3 days whoop

Wow the last one really pissed me off

I am very much against the idea of cultural appropriation being a thing. Let people wear, eat, etc. what they want, and unless it is done in a malicious or bigoted way, there is no problem.

I hate posts like this because 1) So many of these are OBVIOUSLY satirical or trolls.

2) No critical thinking is applied to this incredibly myopic view of an extremely multifaceted sociocultural issue. logical people cannot seriously believe that just because some people in a marginalized group disagree with activism and ‘sj’ politics that suddenly the complaints of many other marginalized individuals are suddenly null and void.

Cultural appropriation does not work on a “if it offends people” bias. It is about devaluing various cultures on a much broader level, at the hands of white colonialists while also punishing indigenous people for practicing their own culture. This erases the work, study and complaints of so many people of color.

not to mention this post was literally made by a person who doesn’t think women are oppressed like

just stop.

This is me, Eliza Thornberry, part of your average family. I’ve got a dad, a mom, and a sister. There is Donnie - we found him. And Darwin, he found us. Oh yeah, about our house - it moves, because we travel all over the world. You see, my dad hosts this nature show, and my mom shoots it. Okay, so we’re not that average. And between you and me, something amazing happened… and now I can talk to animals. It’s really cool, but totally secret. And you know what? Life’s never been the same.

When you haven’t watched this show in literally 7 years and can still read this in your head in her exact voice, and remember what parts to emphasise…
